Megane 3 RS - Trophy-R Front Brake Discs

The aluminum / cast iron dual-material disc was developed specifically for the Mégane R.S. 275 TROPHY-R.
 
Bi-material co-fusion technology brings many advantages: Lighter aluminum bowl (weight reduction of 3kg). The gain is all the more important since it is applied to rotating mass.
 
Floating connection of the track and the bowl to absorb the thermal expansion of the disc and thus reduce the sensitivity to warping (the disc slides freely on its stainless steel connecting elements).
 
The mass gain brought by the technology has made it possible to increase the diameter of the disc to 350 mm and thus offer greater braking power.
The internal ventilation area has been re-worked and oriented (different discs left / right) to optimize the air flow, thus improving the cooling of the disc. The machining of the double grinding brake tracks guarantees a higher level of flatness and limits the appearance of vibrations in severe use.
